When is Black Myth: Zhong Kui coming out?
No release date has been announced. Game Science revealed the game in August 2025 and said outright it had "absolutely no idea" when it would launch. A year later it showed gameplay but still gave no date, so 2027 at the earliest is the realistic read — that is our estimate, not the studio's.
Is Black Myth: Zhong Kui a sequel to Black Myth: Wukong?
It's the next game in the Black Myth series rather than a direct sequel. It's a new standalone single-player action RPG drawing on a different corner of Chinese mythology — Zhong Kui, the demon queller — instead of continuing Wukong's story.
